DVI-I Switch - 2 Inputs / 1 Output Overview - Our DVI-I switch is a great buy for anyone running out of DVI sockets on their monitor. You can attach up to 2 sources to the switch box and only have one DVI lead to connect to your monitor. It is easy to switch between the sources by using the buttons on the front of the switch box. Compatibility - This switch box is DVI-I so is suitable to pass through digital or analogue signals. Whether you are using this box for an analogue or digital signal, please check the connection on your monitor and source device (normally a PC). To know which connection is which, please check our line diagrams above. Check compatibility by looking at the following:
Source device is DVI-D, monitor needs to be DVI-I or DVI-D Source device is DVI-A, monitor needs to be DVI-I or DVI-A Source device is DVI-I, monitor can be DVI-I, DVI-D or DVI-A How to use? 1) Connect all DVI cables (search through our shop if you require more) 1) Manually switch with the buttons to swap sources. 3) Simple plug and play operation 4) Power source not required 5) Compact design Technical Suitable for use with HDMI equipment too and is HDCP compliant. Data Transfer Our switch is Dual Link (sometimes referred to as DVI-DL), not Single Link. Dual link transfers data at speeds of up to 9.96gbit/s, with a massive 24 Bits per pixel. The DVI connector is dual link because there are 24 pins present. The DVI switch is therefore suitable for the following resolutions, if being used for a high reolsution, it is important to note that relatively short cables of 1.5m or less should be used, as an increase in cable length decreases the signal transfer rate. Max resolution 1920 x 1200. Standards - CE
