Hello you are looking at my rather beautiful (and in a rare colour!) Fender custom shop USA custom classic USA  jazz bass made in 2010 (ser. no.CZ 517718).  It is (apart from strap locks) all original and in a very rare metallic green (teal?) with matching headstock with a choice of strings thru the body or thru the bridge. It is in extremely good condition with only a couple of tiny dings and marks that distinguish it from new. Let me start of by saying (that for some very strange reason!) this bass looks blue in my pics!  It is in fact almost identical in colour to the Fender Adam Clayton signature bass - far more green!! - just thought I would point this out as its not a true reflection of its colour and I dont want to upset any one when it turns up !  If you check out the clayton signature bass that is more or less the colour!  Right, with that bit out of the way now I can tell you what a wonderful bass this is! First of - can anyone tell me what differences there are between my bass and the Fender custom shop Reggie Hamilton signature bass?? (that currently sell for around £3000!!) Apart from the addition of a passive/active switch (mine is active only) the build quality (and layout) seem the same to me! While I am on the subject of build quality - this bass just oozes quality from the moment you pick it up. The fretboard is not rosewood - it is a stunning visual treat of pau ferro that is absolutely beautiful to look at. The body is a highly resonant select lightweight alder that rings like a bell and it features a superb control layout that is extremely easy to use and  very, very ,versatile. 2 noiseless fender pups powered by 2 x 9v batteries make this a ferrari of an instrument!  Difficult to fault it on the electronics side - so easy to dial up any sound effortlessly! Slap , funk or rock this bass excels at all of them and the sound is of the up most quality. The neck is a lovely slim c shape and contains 21 frets - the action is currently set dead low and the neck is a joy to play. There is some fretwear but loads of life left in this bass yet - the tuners are extremely responsive and make tuning this bass an absolute doddle. It comes with a superb condition (hardly used - but no keys - sorry!) hiscox case and the certificate, some case candy, and a brand new ernie ball guitar strap (fitted with strap locks - as is the bass). Also I will include a superb fender truss rod adjustment tool . It is perfectly made and combines new and old very nicely. It has the active electronics of a deluxe jazz, takes 2 9 volt batteries, has pearl inlays on the reosewood fingerboard, has standard noiseless pickups, has thru-body stringing and is all round a beautiful example of a jazz bass. It has a slightly deeper cut-away on the sunburst body and a slightly thinner waist compared to a normal jazz. It has nice big chunky tuners and has21 frets. It comes new with a certificate and all the usual bits and bobs. Also comes in a great black leather case with chrome bits. Playability:  This bass was setup very nicely when I got it and I have not felt the need to change it. It has a low action which suits me. The playability is my favourite thing with this bass. It is perfectly accessible and just feels right. The neck is silky smooth and the finish is immaculate. I have felt more at home at the lower end of the neck but with this bass it feels like you can play anywhere any time you wish. Sound Quality:  I am yet to play this bass through my proper amp. I have been using a practise amp and headphones. Despite this it is by far the best sounding bass ive ever played. The active electronics offer heaps of options without overwhelming the player with different choices. It is really easy to get a sound to fit any style. The pickups are excellent with any settings applied. Durability:  As you might understand, i've only just got this bass brand new and I have treated it like a baby! So far everything's been absolutely fine, just changed the strings and gave it a bit of a clean with some lemon-oil. I have no doubt it will live many years longer than me!
