Does it reset TONER level? : NO

This is a drum reset chip and this will only reset the drum counter only. If you need to reset your toner counter before/after toner refill, you need to buy the toner reset chips. Unfortunately, we do not sell the toner reset chip for Samsung models currently.

 

What is the reset chip(kit) for drum / fuser / transfer belt and  what is the main benefit of using this? Why should we reset the counters?

Based on our experience, usually the drum units and other parts such  as Transfer belt and fuser unit are physically strong enough to work for one or  two more cycles of its stated life time. However, almost all laser printers  have built-in counter system which will generate a message to the user to order  new part and eventually lock up the printer (with “Replace Drum”  or “Replace  Part” message) when it reaches its stated printing limit regardless the  physical condition of the parts. Even though the physical condition of the  parts are still good enough and the printing quality is still acceptable, the  users had no options to keep using the existing parts but had to change. This  is a huge waste of time, money and environmentally not friendly.

Now, users can use our counter reset chips/kits to renew the counter  (which will reset the remaining life of the part back to 100% and remove the  printer lock up action) and use the same part for one more cycle without  replacing the part. This solution does not repair any print defects. So, this  solution may be used if the printing quality of the last printed page is still  acceptable. Each counter reset requires a new chip. This will save you money,  time and also save environment.

 

 

How does the reset chip work?

 When a new part is installed, the motherboard will receive a special  signal from the part. This happens only once upon the first installation of the  part. Then the motherboard will set the page count of the part to zero. If the  printer was locked up due to the counter hit the threshold prior to the part  replacement, then, this counter reset action will unlock the printer. Then, the  printer will change the character of the special circuit to prevent reusing the  part in another printer or in the same printer in the future after the stated  life span. This is why the counter reset event will happen only once on the first  installation of the part.

Our reset chip has same function as the one from a new part. The  printers will never know the physical condition of the part installed. If the  used part is reinstalled but with a new chip attached, the printer will simply  assume that the part is a new one and reset the counter back to 0 and the  remaining life of the part is reset back to 100%.

 

 

Very important things to know before purchasing.

If you are looking for toner counter reset, this is not a right  products. You need to buy toner reset chips. This listing is for drum / fuser  or transfer belt counter reset chips. Please see the compatible model list and  description before committing purchase.

The part that you intend to reset must be in good working condition  or had been providing good quality prints until it was locked by the counter.  If the part has any physical defects, this chip will not improve the printing defects  or quality at all. If you are having printing quality problems or error codes  other than the "replace part”  light message, this kit will not help.
