A word on Wedge Pierobon C by its maker Dr Dave following my fitting survey (I have now ended up going up a size up to Wedge 3C):
Based on your responses I would suggest trying mouthpiece slightly larger than the Bach 7C with the rim that has a softer contour, and a cup that is a little shallower than 7C but not as shallow as the 3C. Many players don't realize that the Bach 3C cup is actually quite shallow compared to the 7C. The mouthpiece I have in mind is a Pierobon C. It has a very comfortable cushion rim and is sort of a hybrid in terms of size between the 3C and 7C. You should find that it produces an improvement in range and endurance and bitter comfort. I would suggest getting it with the 27 throat.
