ONE .018uF / 200V GUDEMAN PIO CAPACITOR SPECIAL UPGRADE GUITAR TONE Ref : XHFS-27128 These are high quality USA made Gudeman capacitors. They were made for the Military and the US aerospace program. The conductor is made of aluminum foil and the dielectric is oil saturated paper, glass sealed in a metal body. These capacitors provide excellent sonic characteristics, high tolerance is kept within a wide temperature range. These GUDEMAN caps were made whith military specifications for super low DC leakage for best sound. These all have a blue paint dot that indicates hand selection for tolerance. They are all very close to the exact .022 spec and they are marked as -5% tolerance. This means they can be up to 5% lower than .018, but not higher. That is a special military spec. (Cool, because in tone circuit you don't want them higher). Bandwidth is very high and distortion very low. They are top rated for tone in guitars and sound quality in tube amp coupling positions. Paper in oïl caps sound far better than any modern new prod. caps. Great way to improve the tone of your guitar, or for use in other hi-fi and HI END applications.
