Beautiful 3 diamond ring set at an angle in 18 carat yellow gold. The diamonds a white and clear but colour and clarity not established by jeweller on valuation as he is not a qualified gemologist.Diamonds are approx 10 points each and the ring dates back to the 1860's. This was part of my mums jewellery collection which I recently had valued by a reputable local jeweller before deciding to sell. A copy of the valuation will be sent with the purchase but there are 2 rings listed on one valuation certificate so which ever ring sells first will have the original copy and the other one (listed below) will receive a copy. The valuation states the following: Ladies 18ct yellow gold engagement style ring. The ring has 3 old cut diamonds each having 6 claws. Each diamond weighs approx 10 points and they are arranged in a line at an angle. The hallmark shows the manufacturer to be BEJ and it was assayed in Birmingham and lettering indicates it to date around 1860. The date cannot be established more precisely as the date letter has been removed during resizing.  The ring weight is 3.3 grams. Ring size L. The valuation states a value of £850. I appreciate the price shown is only for insurance purposes and not a true reflection of the actual value, therefore I have set a very reasonable buy it now price and will consider sensible offers. The box will not be included in the sale but will be carefully wrapped and padded. This can be collected due to the value or will only be sent by Royal Mail insured delivery to cover both myself and the buyer, I will only sell to trusted buyers with feedback as this is a high value item and I won't take any chances as sadly there are some dishonest people on Ebay.
