Ludwigia Mini Super Red - emersed Ludwigia Mini Super Red is an easy plant but to get the desirable bright red colour, you must provide high lighting, nutrient levels and CO2. High iron level will help bring out fiery colours. Needs heavy trimming to keep plant bushy. If you don't have lots of light, plants might lose the colour with time. It is sold in emersed form. Its emersed leaves are red- green. Once planted in the tank plant will go through transition period changing colour and shape of the leaves. Colour will depend on the conditions under which the plant grows. If provided with highly intensive light, good supply of liquid fertiliser and CO2, it grows quite fast and brings the colour out. A low CO2 level and less intensive light induce the lower leaves to turn green and fall off. It looks best in groups, but the stems cannot be planted too close to each other, as this may limit the access of light to the lower leaves. Worms, snails & pets free.  The picture is only illustrative, and the real plant may vary in colour and size, especially in the winter, because the plants grow more slowly, although we try to provide the largest sometimes it is independent of us. The colour depends on the fertilizers in which they are served. Plants will take their natural look in the aquarium. You will receive plants looking similar like on the photo (without pot, cup).

The size of the plant shows how big it can grow in the aquarium. That gives information to the buyers where to position plant in the aquarium. Plants which you will receives come from greenhouses or laboratory(in vitro) and some of them might be smaller or bigger than the final sizes shown on the listing. Don't be surprised that sometimes plants might not have roots or roots will be minimal. After planting in the aquarium, the plant will grow new roots within a few days.

How we post plants

24h dispatch  (usually the same day dispatch if ordered before 2pm). We are experienced in packing plants to avoid any damage during transport and to reduce the cost of postage. Plant will be packed in a plastic bag inside carton box (usually large letter) posted 24h Royal Mail. We spend more time on packing plants which ensures that you receive the plants in a very good condition, not damaged by the pot or not mixed with gel (in-vitro).  Therefore, the plants are sent without pots, cups.
