This is an original A4 factory manual. It comprises 47 pages and weighs 170g.

Introduction into Service Books were designed to familiarize the workshop staff in Mercedes-Benz franchised dealers with everything that was newly introduced in the new models covered by the book. Although it is written in the style of a workshop manual with repair and maintenance procedures, it cannot be described as a complete workshop manual as it does not cover anything which may be considered common knowledge by the dealers’ experienced workshop personnel or which is covered in existing workshop manuals for previous vehicles.

It does not cover those things that were not newly introduced at the time of publication. It was aimed at Mercedes-Benz franchised dealers, who are assumed to know Mercedes-Benz cars well and be familiar with everything that has gone before. Obviously, it does not cover later features and variations that were not yet introduced at the time of publication. In some cases, such later variations are covered by a supplementary Introduction into Service Book published at a later date.
