Lucas 423153 genuine NOS (new-old-stock) original type distributor contact points set.  As shown in picture, the spring strip part of the assembly tilts at a slight angle to the vertical, as it curves around. This is to help dampen out 'points bounce' which can happen at high engine revs.  Later type one piece (partly plastic) sets are not always of the same dampening type design as these. The small components shown have to be assembled in correct logical order.  The sets in the picture are simply as brought together in the factory.   Therefore received order of parts should not be relied upon as a guide to fitting. 423153 take a fair bit longer to fit than the later 'one piece' plastic type but they are what mechanics were fitting from 1956, through much of the 60's.
