Guaranteed authentic h andwritten land grant document with President John Tyler's signature. Seal of the United States Land Office is fully intact. President Tyler signed very few land grants. US granting Indian land in (now) for military service.

August 15, 1842 Land Grant in consideration of military service of Nathaniel Pendleton, Captain; Mathew Gregg, Private, and Whitehead Coleman, Captain in the Virginia Line. 

Land granted in the state of Ohio "... certain tract of land containing 487 acres situate on Rush Creek, Northwest of the River Ohio North of the Indian Boundary Line established by the Treaty of Greenville and East of the line run by Charles Roberts under the authority of the United States"

United States of America to all to Whom these Present Shall Come Greeting, 

Know Ye, that in consideration of military service performed by Nathaniel Pendleton a Captain for one year and 5 months more than 7 years , by Mathew Gregg, a Private for 3 years , and by Whitehead Coleman a Captain for the 7th year to the United States in the Virginia Line on Continental Establishment and in pursuant of an Act of the Congress of the United States passed on the 10th day of August in the year of 1790 entitled “An Act To Enable the Officer and Soldier Of The Virginia Line On Continental  Establishment to obtain Titles to certain lands lying Northwest of the river Ohio, between the Little Miami and Scirto” and other Acts of the said Congress amendatory of the Said Act, there is granted by the United States, unto James Taylor a signee of said Nathaniel Pendleton and signee of Mathew Gregg, also a signee of Rubin T. Taylor, who was a signee of Robert Baylor executor of said Whitehead Coleman , a certain tract of land containing 487 acres situate on Rush Creek , Northwest of the River Ohio North of the Indian Boundary Line established by the Treaty of Greenville and East of the line run by Charles Roberts under the authority of the United States Commissioners in the year 1812 has by survey No. 9909 bearing date the 13th day of March 1821 founded on part of three military Warrants, to wit 472 Acres on part of Warrant No. 4951 issued in favor of Nathaniel Pendleton and James Taylor for 944 Acres, 8 Acres on No. 4951 issued in favor of said Mathew Gregg and 7 Acres in No. 4922 issued in favor of representative of said Whitehead Coleman and bounded and described as follows to wit Beginning at 2 White Oaks and  hickory Northwest corner of said Pendleton survey No. 9909 in a line of Chiswell Barritts survey No 9908 thence with Pendleton’s line North 78 degrees east 400 poles crossing Brush Creek at 290 and a branch at 324 poles to a Sugar tree and two Beeches Northwest corner to said Pendleton’s survey, thence north 12 degrees west 194 poles, crossing the creek at 134 poles to a Buckeye and small Sugar tree, thence south 78 degrees west 400 poles crossing a branch at the 141 at 312 poles, to a red Oak Elm and Sugar tree Northeast corner to said Barritts survey thence with his line South 12 degrees East one hundred and ninety four poles to the beginning, To have and to hold the said track of land together with all and singular the rights, immunities, privileges and appurtenances, to the same belonging and in any wise appertaining thereto, unto the said James Taylor and his heirs and his assignees forever.

 

In testimony thereof, I John Taylor President of the United States of America that caused these letters to be made Patent and the Seal of the General Lands Office to be hereunto affixed.

 

Given under my hand at the city of Washington the 15th day of August in the year of our Lord 1842 and of the independence of the United States the 67th
